Trump wasted Jan & Feb denying there was an issue, in March failed to help draft focus stimulus instead allowing trillions to just burn away with little to no oversight, and then pressured states to re-open too quickly.The states would have been able to reopen on the schedules they all had to create themselves if, instead of actively interfering in containing COVID, the federal government had implemented any steps to contain it and respond.Instead the response was to pretend it didn't exist, offer no assistance to states, and confiscate the PPE they had to fight for on an "open market", donate/sell that PPE to brand new companies (totally not formed by disgusting rich shitheels to grift as much as possible), and then force the states to re-buy the PPE that they had already bought, at higher prices. Then, after 2 or 3 months, start pressuring states to reopen because he was tired of the bad press of COVID19.They are still against wearing masks and blaming Democrat governors for the recession. They still want to reopen the schools with no plans for contact testing/quarantining. They are stalling the next benefits package as long as possible. Cutting the Aid below the level they calculated was necessary and previously agreed to.
