Objectively, because this is a loose formation of people with only a vague concept holding them together, there are going to be people in this group that are "bad apples" (see bad faith protesters/rioters). However, in a group without an official membership, difficulty in identification (masks, and people may show up to one protest but not another), and no real agenda other than to protest, bad apples are more of an inevitability and significantly harder to crackdown on; especially dependent on the organization level. There's nothing really to hold them accountable other than the leadership apologizing (if there is any) or attempting to correct it after the fact.Ironic you say this, as if you read the article, these "peaceful protestors" were "peacefully" throwing rocks just hours prior. She was sprayed because a person hiding behind her threw a metal parking at an officer. I'm in no way suggesting people do this.
