Newlywed If I’m Spoiled It’s My Nana’s Fault Saw It Liked It Told Nana Got It Shirt here, I don’t understand how people fight about this? I have a lot of anxiety when it comes to food and dishes, it just disgusts me. My husband doesn’t mind it, so I cook supper and he does the dishes. He doesn’t always do them to my standards but it keeps me more comfortable. We’ve never once had a fight about it. I occasionally need to nag him to do them but that’s it. This is how we decided. Whoever cares more about how something is done, does that thing. If one person ends up doing wayyy more than the other to where it feels completely unequal then we address it and modify. Or at least help the other person. We don’t keep tally but Most things are pretty 50/50. With my housemates it was actually really easy, we literally rolled a die to determine which 2 were going to do the dishes. And if there was a disagreement about who was washing, and who was drying, we rolled the die on that too. Fortunately I was the only one who preferred washing, all of them preferred drying. They are. In my personal situation, we have the issue that my bf doesn’t properly clean the dishes before loading them in the dishwasher, so then they don’t get clean when it runs.
